JANUARY 24TH 2010

My heart and prayers go out to the people of Haiti. . . Today I’m just grateful to be alive! I’m also grateful for the simple things, as well as for the amazing inventions that make life pleasant and convenient; such as a warm home, indoor heat, electricity, and plumbing, clean water to drink and fresh air to breathe, the beauties and blessings of nature and for my five senses to enjoy them, for health and strength and for God’s divine protection. I am thankful for loved ones and the love we share. I am grateful for freedom of religion and speech. Most of all, I am thankful for  my loving, kind, merciful Heavenly Father, to whom I can pray and receive answers to my prayers and for His beloved Son, Jesus Christ and His redeeming love. Oh, how grateful I am for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the light and joy it brings into my life; for my testimony, for the scriptures, for the Priesthood of God, and for the blessings of the temple. Listen to “Thanksgiving“, which sings of this truth: that all good things come, because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I wrote Humble Prayer” the day of 9/11. ~  Found in Vol. One, “So Will I Comfort You”, (the Songs of Holiness Series),  it also expresses my feelings about the tragedy in Haiti.
